So far, only one bridge option for Romulan ships, however that seems to be much better thought out than some of the Starfleet and Klingon ships.

The first R.R.W. D'Varin. Based on the Romulan ships that appeared in the original series.

So the new pack for Star Trek Online was released. The Legacy of Romulus. All new Romulan and Remen ships, Romulan and Remen crew, bridge officers, duty officers, ground support and weapons, and players have a choice of aligning with the Klingon Defense Force or Starfleet. It’s an interesting and well developed story they have going (though, as always with Cryptic, there’s still a lotta bugs to fix). There is even a new species that the Romulans have to fight. Also, depending with whom you align yourself, you have the option of commanding Starfleet or Klingon ships. Even the story missions are pretty decent, as you can finish the Romulan story arc, and then do either the Starfleet arc or the Klingon arc, depending on your alignment.

This is a cool website that lets you calculate your age had you lived on any of the other planets in the Solar System. It not only gives your age in days and years but also tells you when you can celebrate your next birthday if, say, you lived on Mars.

According to this, my birthday on Uranus, Neptune and Pluto hasn’t arrived yet. I’m not even 1 year old. And my birthday won’t arrive for sometime.

Zach Sobiech is a 17-year-old musician who was diagnosed three years ago with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. With only months to live, Sobiech used music to say goodbye — moving millions of people with his song, “Clouds.”

Media company SoulPancake is helping spread Sobiech’s message with a tribute video, featuring a superstar list of celebrities, including Bryan Cranston, Sarah Silverman, Andy Grammer, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, The Lumineers and many more.

Sobiech’s version is available on iTunes, and proceeds benefit the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

Zach passed away on May 20th, just a few weeks after his 18th birthday. Here is his beautiful song, lip synced by a lot of famous people courtesy of SoulPancake. I posted this about a month ago or so. Here it is again.

Charlie Noonan was an amateur folklorist who travelled throughout the South and Southwestern United States during the early years of the 20th century, collecting tall tales and stories of the supernatural. According to his wife, Ellie, Charlie was told a story one day by an Oklahoma farmer about a strange woman who lived alone on an isolated property in the panhandle. The farmer claimed the woman was not a woman at all, but something else, something that hid its true nature beneath a headscarf and was never seen without a large dog by its side. Noonan was apparently intrigued enough to try searching for the woman during one of his research road trips. He was never seen again.

Ellie Noonan was later contacted by a Tulsa pawnbroker who remembered reading about her husband’s disappearance in the papers, after finding his name engraved on a camera sold to him by an itinerant. The pawnbroker returned the camera, and Mrs. Noonan had the film inside developed in the hopes of finding a clue as to his whereabouts. This was the only photo on the roll. Unfortunately, neither the location of the property, nor the name of the farmer who told him the story was recorded in Noonan’s notes.
